I need a professional opinion from you, if you would do me that favor.
My daughter had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted on 9-11. She was awake during the entire procedure, with a local anesthetic given via injection. As of today her tongue is still numb, although she is now feeling some tingling in it, although slight. The doctor performing the extraction told her not to worry as it can take up to 5 weeks for the senses in her tongue to return to normal. Is this true? TIA! ;-) |

This is a MAJOR surgical procedure that should only be undertaken if there are serious problems. Potential problems down the road are not sufficient reason. You have those teeth for a reason, keep em unless there is a very good reason not to. |

Oh, and I almost forgot........... ;-) |

http://groups.google.com/group/sci.m...y?lnk=sg&hl=en There's a lot of dentists that hang out there. JimH wrote: I need a professional opinion from you, if you would do me that favor. Eisboch I guess you have never asked for free advice before, either in person or in a NG. Not that kind of free advice. Free advice among fellow recreational boaters, about boating, yes. Free advice among fellow professional associates in the right forum, yes. Free advice from someone who offers free advice ..... depends. Free advice from a professional who is normally compensated for their knowledge and training? No. What is that saying about people in glass houses? My house isn't glass. Eisboch |

Why you chose to try to start an argument about this is beyond me. I hope your day improves Richard. ;-) |
