I just changed power heads on my 50. I had to change the belt tensioner
as well so I replaced the fly wheel too. Now It runs rough. Can anyone tell me how to set the timing up? |

I would guess that maybe 1 person out of 1000 here on this news group can
get their boats to run as well as a top factory trained boat mechanic. I guess if you are on a strict budget or have a real desire to just do the work yourself it is worth working on your own boat motor. I have purchased used boats and done all the simple work myself but then after I am to a place where I want to get it running right I usually take it to a very good boat mechanic that I have found by getting recommendations from others. This works for me. -- Bill Kiene Kiene's Fly Shop Sacramento, CA, USA Web site: www.kiene.com wrote in message ups.com... I just changed power heads on my 50. You need a Yamaha factory service manual.
