time of year it is still pitch dark in these latitudes.

I really hope the boat ran aground at high tide and the photo was taken
at low tide. If not, this seems physically impossible.

High tide on Thursday in B'ham Bay was 7.7 feet at 0415. At 0515 the
tide was still 7.4 feet, and by 1000 it was down to -0.2 en route to
-1.0 at 1123. There was probably 6 feet, and maybe as much as 8 feet
additional depth at the time of the grounding compared with the water
level visible in the photo taken well after sunrise.
