In the fall and again in the spring. I need to do this only about every three years. In the interim I carry a spray bottle of Weed be Gone while I'm mowing to get any weeds that pop up - normally very few. -- John The trouble is, part of my lawn is Fescue (in the shade) and part Bermuda (in the sun). If you apply pre-emergent in the fall, you have to do it after you overseed the Fescue, and it comes up. I've got some damned wild violet that is just hard as hell to get rid of!
