Default I got my boat!

Well, after a few years I got my boat!

I bought my first new tournament ski boat from a small boat builder about 4
years ago and it performed flawlessly. I was doing some part-time work for
the boat company (like their webpage, promo gigs) so was offered to trade in
my boat for a new boat each year at no cost. Seemed like a great deal to
me.

First off-season my boat was picked up and new boat was started...I was
given an MSO for the new boat and I turned over my title (seemed like the
new boat was pretty much on it's way to completion) so at this point I
didn't forsee any issues..

Well, somewhere prior to the completion (like the motor being installed) the
company had some major financial problems and the boat sat... and sat, and
sat. The builder filed bankruptcy so there wasn't anything I could do but
be nice to the guy (he promised me he'd eventually finish my boat).

He did have a boat at his disposal (maybe one of his kids?) I could use for
several weeks at a time and had no problem delivering it. So really wasn't
a big issue except I really wanted my boat.

Well at the beginning of this summer I received my long awaited boat! Guess
it paid off being understanding... especially after reading horror stories
of people never getting their boats from other dealers/builders

oh btw... he upgraded the engine to a 340hp instead of a 310 and put on a
decent wakeboard tower.

dennis

btw... I purposely left out the namebrand of the boat because I'm just happy
to have it. Gonna take it out again in a few hours for the long weekend.
In fact we have a high school exchange student from central China staying
with us... gonna teach her to ski and wakeboard!

Glad you finally got your boat; congratulations!
I guess you're going to make a capitalist consumer out of your Chinese guest
before she goes home.

No, I'll let her do that on her own. A couple of trips to the mall with my
daughter ought to do it.

Oh btw... didn't go to the lake yet... my wife reminded me we had a local
high school football game to go to tonight. will be hitting the lake in the
early am for some smooth glass. oh and our team won 20-0.
