We sure are making progress in the world

Every employer I've ever had provided health insurance as a part of the employee compensation package. It was always considered a part of wages, but payable in a different form. That practice didn't begin with me reaching the age of majority. Next time there's a line for brainpower, try waiting for it instead of running off to join the marines. Nowadays, thanks to the Republican credo of greed, corporations have negated the social compact that once existed so they can put more money in the pockets of everyone except the employees. A huge underclass is being created in this country, and it is getting larger every day. Someday, I hope, and probably after I am gone, there will a social revolution of sorts in this country and asshol*s like you will find their heads on pikes. Harry, you are a schmuck in the first degree. You have no right to health insurance. Period. Maybe you found your own penumbra in the Constitution along with all your other puff dreams of a government sponsored utopia? You and the other members of the gimmeee class of liberals think it's owed to you because, well, there is no because. You're just so damn special that somebody owes you. Think again. I'm 62 also. I have bought my own insurance all my life. Employers didn't owe me any more than I negotiated. And for the 20+ years before I retired I had my own through my own businesses. At my cost. And my choice. And now in my golden years, I pay over $900 per month to Kaiser to be sure an illness doesn't wipe me out financially. That's simply how it is and I accept it. You demand something better 'cause it's just not fair the way things are in a free country. I suggest you look to Cuba for the future of your utopian dreams. Give it up, already. Quit your whining about medical, Bush, Republicans in general and every other sniveling disappointment in life. You make other liberals look bad. Now then, Shortshooter, AssKisser, JoeBackPorch and the rest of your water carriers can all jump in with your usual gangbang style of name calling - and think you're actually debating some issue. The whole gang of you wouldn't be able to win a debate with a fourth grader. Dale I wish you'd get your boat back. You're childish and petty name calling does wonders for your credibility. Dale reminds me of the frat pledge who, when bent over and whacked on the ass with a paddle by one of the "brothers," says, "thank you, sir: may I have another?" Good analogy! Watch, he'll be back! |
