It is ok for boats to be supported 100% by the bunks and bunks provide better support than rollers. For best support make sure your boat is positioned so that the edge of the transom is at the end of the bunks. It is better not to have your transom hanging off the end of the bunks. From what I've read, long term storage of a boat on a trailer with rollers that are not adjusted properly can cause a "hook" to develop in the transom area. I've got a Scout on a roller trailer and I adjusted the rear sets of rollers so the edge of the transom sits right over the middle of the back roller wheel. Eisboch |
