........have you taken your boat out this year?

Ours went in the water on May 20th and since then we have been out on it 15
times (13 day and 2 late evening) over those 11 weeks. Considering the fact
that high waves kept us off the water while on Put-In-Bay for the week and
the amount of rain and heavy storms we have had this summer I am surprised
the number is that high.

We still have quite a bit of boating to do this year. I am looking forward
to some good perch fishing later this month. ;-)

So how has your usage been this year?

Every weekend since mid-April, including a weeklong trip into Lake Erie
with a stop in PIB over the 4th of July holiday.

Man, I love the 'Bay!!! Hope to make another trip before the season
ends.

Where on the Bay do you keep your boat?

We often like to go to the beach near Johnson's Island but on the north side
of the Bay.

Is Olive 'Or Twist' still around? It was next to the old Radisson Hotel
(now owned by Cedar Point).

At least twice, but usually three times, every single weekend.

I average about 350 hours on my boats each year.

That's a good point, the hours. I've had my ski boat for 1 year and I have
almost 80 hours on the engine. I hope to get out several more times with
the kids including a labor day campout and then once every one or two weeks
when the lake turns over for some trout fishing.

Nice. Northern boaters are lucky to hit 100 hours/year unless they spend a
lot of time trolling on their main engines.

I would guess 50 to 75 hours is the average for boaters on the Great Lakes.

Launch is normally no earlier than May 1st. Pull out is normally no later
than November 1st.

about 60gal of gas times out! It hasn't been good here in western PA for

We try to go out at least one day every weekend. Lately it's been every
other weekend though. We did go camping for three days down at Lake San
Antonio (CA) last month...that was a blast. Sometimes I'll sneak out to the
lake with a sack lunch and my fishing pole during the week. I'm guessing
I'll probably put 80-90 hours on the boat this year.

FWIW, no one has disagreed with bk's comments, we've agreed only
that he
should cease making them.

You should remember that it works both ways.

Shall we then discuss your prior behavior here also John?

I have asked for a cease fire with you and you refused it. Exactly
who is the adult here?

If you two don't let this drop, I'm going to stop by your house and
burn all the wax off your boat and stop by Herring's house and bend
his golf clubs into pretzels. Remember, I know where both of you live.

Move on, dammit!

Even my political posts are more fun than this crap.

Better bring your shotgun! We'll have a shotgun duel in my front yard.
Slugs only.

I find it odd that after JimH ****ed everyone (and I mean everyone)
off
here with his constant barrages, he then comes back and makes those
gullible enough to believe it, that he's changed for the better.
Except
for the fact that he still calls people childish names, and uses
petty
insults on those he doesn't like. It seems that I'm the only one who
remembers just how bad he got.

Sometimes it is best for the benefit of everyone to let bygones be
bygones
and move on.
The NG as a whole benefits and is much more enjoyable.
