Hi All,
I have a 17' Ensign (campion?) bowrider with VP i/o. 1989 AQ151 with SP leg. Bought it jjust over a month ago. It has a slight list to starboard, visible, not quite an inch difference at waterline side to side. When trimmed near 0 it is a bit hard steering to starboard and leans more than same turn to port.... Also if trimmed up a bit it is easier to make that starboard turn... My question, at first I thought the list was an offcenter gas tank or other heavy component. Now I wonder if it is the sterndrive installed slightly crooked. Prev owner did have leg rebuilt a couple years ago... May have to have a good marine mech seatrial it. Any suggestions thx Ron |
