There are no guarantees in life, but it's possible that if you'd bought this
motor from a dealer, he might've asked you about transom height. How about selling the motor and starting from scratch. Your boat was free, so you can take it in the ass financially to some extent, and still not be in too much pain when you finally end this fiasco. "Tom" wrote in message . .. Look around for a used transom bracket to hang off the stern. It will actually help in that it increases the length of the boat by a couple of feet (not in terms of actual space, but water line length - difficult to explain) and you will be able to set the proper height for the engine. Or swap the engine for another. |
