can't believe they don't provide a usb cable to get into your computer.
the model i bought only had a serial cable, grrrr! Garmin wanted $60 for their serial to usb cable, so I went shopping and found one for $20 at radio shack. so if you are in the same situatation as me, save yourself some money by going to your local pc store or radio shack. Must be an older model... I own about 8 garmins and they all came with
serial cables except the last two I bought and they came with USB. I suppose quite a few boaters/hikers don't follow the latest trends (USB with their PCs, that must be why Garmin is a bit slow withthem, too. The most up to date way of connecting would be via bluetooth, of course - to PC, smart phone, umpc/internet tablet... Risto |
