Default Best lifejacket for dinghy sailing?

Why not the type V's ?? I am generally against the ski-vest style
because they are to hot in the summer, and even late spring.

When I sail the Sonar 23's I find that either the Suspenders or those
new $99 West Marine auto inflatables work real well.

Sometimes, when it's going to be cold, I instead grab one of the club
vests meant for water skiing. Because it helps keep me warm, and
although less flexible than my Sospenders, is still better than wearing
an extra layer of clothes.
