No, "lucky" IMO was a minor factor. The ETECs seem to be a pretty good
motor with better than average reliability. They certainly are strong and
have good HP to weight ratios.

Wish I could afford one.

They still burn oil. Expensive oil.

I wonder why they ran that news just now. The race and the win was 2 months
ago on May 1 and it was posted right here in rec.boats back then. Even the
"down under queen" Karen commented on it. Nothing complimentary, of course.
