Default Johnson 6 hp outboard stalling...

Greetings all,
This might sound like a puny issue to most here, but it's got me stumped.
Here's the scenario......
1976 Johnson 6 hp, 12' V-bottom boat, new gas tank, new fuel hose. This lil
rascal runs and starts fine for the most part, usually 2nd pull after
choking it cold. Push's this boat along great on the small river we are on.
It could be hours, or could be minutes, but invarily, it will stall, and
die. Just up and quit running. Then I'd say 50% of the time it'll restart on
the first pull, and the other 50% it'll take up to, say, a half hour to
restart. I've learned to just let it set for awhile, set back and enjoy the
scenery, and eventually it DOES start again.
I've had the motor looked over this spring, new impeller, (pumps PLENTY
water), carb cleaned, new plugs, and timing set. I've checked the hoses on
the motor for fuel leaks, cleaned the fuel filter, and I've always run the
correct fuel mixture.
Any ideas at what I might look at? I'm not above taking it back to my
dealer, he's been great to me over the years, but thought there may be
something simple I'm overlooking, or that someone could suggest what it
could be so I could possibly pass along to the shop.
TIA
