It was a long, hot mosquito bitten journey, but the new engine is in
my boat. I painted every part a different color. It looks like a model engine. I bought the Clymer's manual like suggested. Didn't have to remove the stern drive. Rented a little bulldozer to do the engine lifting. It's looking life I might make it for the 4th of July after all. I have to connect everything back and buy a half dozen little parts like: distributor cap rotor carberator gasket egr gasket thermostat & gasket asorted hoses a couple bolts (old ones were rusted and had to be cut off) spark plugs All in all, it's an easier job than doing an engine swap in a truck, but not much easier. Just a little. Pics coming soon. |
