Recently the NG is resembling the NG of the past. Unfortunately we all
lose if some of the regulars prefer the inflammatory posts and NG
battles that were so common in the past.

I didn't go back to the original post, so don't know if Bert started

If he wants the Office of Sheriff, he not only has to be fair to all
posters, he has to bend over backwards to give that impression.
At this point there are too many posters he continues to scrap with on a
regular basis. It's almost impossible for him not to show favoritism.
He probably should resign his self appointed office until he can conquer

That is what is called accepted science. And, that is how the system
works. It isn't right but it is pervasive in the scientific community.
