Very true, John, but it looks like that has already happened ...also in the "Yo Karen" thread, and thats been going on up to just a few moments ago. you statement might need amended: "There's been no contention in the group for many hours now...." BTW, I lost track of the site, but how many dollars were finally raised in your "run for the Cure" site. is it offically tallied? or is it still adding? Maybe he has more sense than to respond to this crap. John, the *K*I*N*G* I'm talking about doesn't use much sense at all. There's been no contention in the group for many hours now. Why do purposely try to start a flamefest? So? That didn't answer the question. Both the pro and con E-ted posts are interesting, until they devolve into personal attacks. I didn't notice any contention in the 'YO Karen' thread. Harry quoted some remark from JimH, but there was nothing there I'd call contentious. The final tally at the 'Racing for Renee' site was $5777.50. Our team was the third highest in fundraising, which brought tears of joy to my daughter's eyes. A lot of folks got behind it, and the donations are really appreciated. The whole thing, even with the acrimony here, was a very enjoyable experience where I felt like I was doing *something*. Being a father of a girl with breast cancer is not something I'd wish on anyone. The feeling of helplessness is miserable. I'm too used to being able to 'fix' their problems, not just stand by and watch. Thanks for asking. |
