Very true, John, but it looks like that has already happened ...also in
the "Yo Karen" thread, and thats been going on up to just a few moments
ago.
you statement might need amended:
"There's been no contention in the group for many hours now...."
BTW, I lost track of the site, but how many dollars were finally raised
in your "run for the Cure" site. is it offically tallied? or is it
still adding?

I didn't notice any contention in the 'YO Karen' thread. Harry quoted some
remark from JimH, but there was nothing there I'd call contentious.
Eh, I know what your saying, but I'd say it was riding a fine line, or
it's a toss up.....
The final tally at the 'Racing for Renee' site was $5777.50. Our team was
the third highest in fundraising, which brought tears of joy to my
daughter's eyes. A lot of folks got behind it, and the donations are really
appreciated.
Of course! $5777.50 is pretty good. Could always have been better, but
then again it could have been less too! I hope some people from the
site I posted it on opened up a bit of generosity as well. But, I'll
never know....
The whole thing, even with the acrimony here, was a very
enjoyable experience where I felt like I was doing *something*. Being a
father of a girl with breast cancer is not something I'd wish on anyone.
You WERE doing something, and it was all for the good.
The feeling of helplessness is miserable. I'm too used to being able to
'fix' their problems, not just stand by and watch.
That's called being a loving parent, man. Down deep the pain cuts
worse than a dull knife and you never, ever feel like what ever you are
doing ....you're doing enough, but then again, sometimes thats all you
can do.
Thanks for asking.
Thanks for the reply!
Well, I was able to track down everyone who donated, either through this
group, my daughter's, wife's, or other's friends, or teachers. I don't
think anyone from your other group donated, but I appreciate your effort.
