No so fast, JimH. You show up here with a pro-war troll titled Yay-hoo
and rave on like the
Iraqi's just held another purple finger election or something?

Pro war?????

Why would anyone be upset to see that a person hell bent on killing you,
your family and all westerners was killed?

This was a bipartisan topic Chuck. Some on the left, including you, chose
to make it political.

Unbelievable.

Speaking of wrong group, I had the best damn pizza tonight I have ever
had.

Thin crust, light on the sauce and cheese, fresh mushrooms and Vidalia
onions.

I'm a tell you what - it was unbelievable - delicious.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........pizzzzzzzzaaaaaaaa.

OK. To tie this whole thing together to make everyone
happy.................

Just before the 2 bombs hit Al-Zarqawi was having a pizza and beer party
with his buds while watching Lone Ranger and Love Boat reruns on TV.

He died with a smile on his face, especially considering the fact that he
just had a great time on his 49 foot GB with Osama just yesterday.

Is everyone happy now? ;-)

Will Chuck write a glowing review?

If he does he will probably overstate the construction quality and fuel
economy, then spin it into a political editorial.. ;-)

What a major hit!!!

OT or not, this is terrific news for everyone, boaters included. ;-)

I hope so, but the FBI is involved in doing the IDs...so...who the hell
knows. :-)

I agree, but everything published to date shows they got the target.

It is reassuring to see that you saw this as a good thing, despite your
political lean, and did not turn it into a political thing as some folks in
this thread are now doing.

A dead terrorist hell bent on killing you and your family is a good thing,
despite ones political affiliation. ;-)

Wrong. Even children learn, long before they would be considered mature,
that actions have consequences. The difference between immaturity and
maturity is that the mature person will go forward and carry out required
actions, even knowing that these actions may carry some undesirable
consequences.

Your pov seems to suggest we ought not attack those who attack us, lest we
aggravate them further. Frozen into inaction by fear, eh?

Clearly

Why would anyone be upset to see that a person hell bent on killing you,
your family and all westerners was killed?

Because the "cure" may turn out to be much worse than the "disease".

I don't see anybody here saying they thought he was a good guy, or that what
happened to him was unfair or unjust. It just might not have been the best thing
as far as keeping us and our families safer. Hardly cause for celebration in any
event.

So start your own thread with those thoughts.

Please don't pollute this thread with your political rants.

The event is not political.

As a discussion point, MSNBC has run an online poll...out of 150,000
responses

44% think it will have no impact whatsoever on terror or the insurgency

30% say it is a very small setback for terrorism or the insurgency

26% think it is a large blow to the insurgency and terror

In my view, the guy had to be removed, but without question, violence
begets violence.

There is, also without question, an invigoration of anti U.S. sentiment
around the world, and this guy was just an ant in an ant hill.

Then again, I picked this up from another board from a guy I know who
IS stationed in Baghdad as we speak:

".....Nothing could be further from the truth. I'm on the ground here
in Baghdad. No one is taking credit unilaterally. It was truly a team
effort, from the brave Iraqi citizens who called in tips, to Iraqi and
Coalition forces who actually carried out the operation.

We can all argue about whether Zarqawi will be replaced - there will
probably be another intolerant, ignorant, and totally implacable
individual who will replace him. However, there is no doubt that
removing this "I can't clear a stoppage in a SAW" individual from the
gene pool is a win not only for Iraqis, but for all civilized people
around the world.

From where I sit, this is a good thing for mankind. Zarqawi and others

of his ilk don't care about you, me, or anyone else who doesn't ascribe
to their view of the world. If you don't agree with them, they'd just
as soon shoot you as talk to you - make no mistake. You cannot
negotiate with them nor reason with them. The only thing they
understand is violence. And by violence they have met and will meet
their end.

My two cents,

Alan in Baghdad "

Otherwise passing on bait.

Ignorant statement.

Wednesday: Republican-controlled Senate throws GWB and his proposed
constitutional amendment through the chamber doors to land on his
whisper thin approval rating on the capitol mall. (Photo caption: Grass
stains on seat of President's Armani trousers). Thursday: Years of
searching for this bad ******* finally and coincidentally pay off and
we drop 1000 lbs of explosives down his chimney. Doesn't seem at all
political to me, of course........but it is *way* OT.

For a totally sympathetic and interested audience, may I suggest:

http://www.rnc.org/

You won't have to put up with anybody hassling you about trolling over
there.
You will be much happier.
