Default On ethanol and two strokes...

And I used Sunoco 93 octane in my hiperformance Mercury OB for 6 years
without any issues. Never had any issues running up to 7800RPM. Granted it
was only 5% unlike some places like NY which it's 10% now. Just go to
www.screamandfly.com and do a search for "ethanol" and read all the bad
stuff.

But the major advice seems to be, if you have a non-injected normally
aspirated carb engine, add more oil to the mix - go richer on the oil
mix.

Makes sense to me.
