When was the first time you used it?

Used it when I was young to increase oil pressure in worn out VW engines. I
wonder what STP is made of? I'm thinking just thick oil.

Never knowingly used the stuff, but loved to collect on post the stickers on
anything and everything when I was a kid.

I knew a *lot* of people who used STP, and pretty regularly. It was all
the rage for a while---
but then again, it was the 60's. :-)

And they still sell it. With all the improvements in engine oils and
filters I wonder how they continue to survive.

What does this have to do with boats?
It's common courtesy in newsgroups to put OT (off topic) in front of
the header when posting about something that isn't in keeping with the
topics of the newsgroups.

Sorry to say this Kevin, but you really are an asshole.

Go start a fight with someone else.........better yet..........just go away.
This was an enjoyable thread till you showed up.

Here's the saga of an actual STP user. :-)

(makes any of the rest of us, regardless how wacked out, appear
absolutely normal)

Now, as far as STP for engines goes- oil additives are probably bad
news on a boat.
If your engine gets so weak that it won't run properly without mixing a
bunch of 90-wt
in the crankcase you probably shouldn't leave the dock. When you car
breaks down, you can get out and walk. If you can "get out and walk"
when your boat breaks down, you don't need to buy your miracle cures in
a bottle. :-)

Hey, Jim, how about that $5000 charity bet I offered you? Remember? The
one where I'll prove my identity? If you are so sure I'm Kevin, why not
go for it? I see it didn't take you long to get back to your childish
name calling. Why not, no one here will have anything to do with you
after your latest month long rant. Your cries for attention now fall on
deaf ears, even Fritz won't have anything to do with you!
