86' Mercury 90HP OB, Morse steering cable, Fuel Pump...

This motor runs OK, carbs physically cleaned and run for weeks; idle
still varies over the day

Is the idle stability linked to the fuel pump condition? It has
Auto-blend. Bought a new fuel pump kit (not installed yet though).

Also, where to buy, at good price, replacement steering cable - has
through-tube, Morse rack control.
