Saw the DaVinci Code...
"Harry Krause" wrote in message ... ...last night and thought it a pretty good movie. The cast was strong and despite the tales to the contrary, the movie "moved along" quite well. Unlike most of the drug-car chase-rap movies these days, it does require the audience to think things through as they are played out on the screen. The cast members I most enjoyed included: Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon Audrey Tautou as Sophie Neveu Ian McKellen as Sir Leigh Teabing Jean Reno as Captain Fache Paul Bettany as Silas McKellen is always fun to watch, and Reno gave his usual "dark" performance. Bettany reminded me of a few posters in this newsgroup. If you see the movie, you might draw the same conclusion! I see no need to discuss the "religious overtones" of the movie. It is based on a work of fiction that incorporates some "factual" historical elements and a lot of imagination. You shouldn't take small children to see this. Oh...the boating connection. Mary Magdalene supposedly traveled to France on a boat. :-) But it was "oar-less". Maybe had an E-Tec? RCE |
