Their service is FANTASTIC and you get 2 GB of downloads per month for free. If you need more you can pay for the service from giganews. As you can tell, I am very very pleased with Comcast as a ISP and Cable provider. Giganews is a great provider. I don't know about the OP, but Comcast does not serve my area. I hope your Vonage is working out OK. I finally had to dump them for poor service... actually NO service. Trying to get unhooked from that bunch of idiots was a real experience. After a few jitters with SunRocket, I've cancelled my normal telephone service (Verizon). Now I'm paying SunRocket $199 per *year* and get more than what I got with Verizon. I recently plugged the SunRocket adapter into a wall telephone jack and it powers all the jacks in the house. Of course, I unplugged the Verizon line outside the house. I use Cox Cable for my ISP, and I upgraded the speed so I'm getting about 18 Mbps download and about 1.7Mbps upload. For a little over $16 per month I can put up with an occasional echo. When I have a problem with outage, which has happened only once recently, repowering the modem and the adapter has solved the problem. -- 'Til next time, John H ****************************************** ***** Have a Spectacular Day! ***** ****************************************** |
