Its hard to imagine that its cheaper to mine new materials vs. melting down existing stuff. The cost of the ship breaking. And the toxic materials that have to be handled. I understand a lot of the old ships are broken up in the India area. They run them aground and swarms of 30 cent a day laborers take the ship apart. |
