See photo at: http://www.boat-world.com/displaypic...332743&picno=2 enlarge if you need to. See the plate to the right of the outboard? Bingo. :-) Wonder how he's gonna do a rubbing off of that? It doesn't look like it's got any 3D relief to it. I also wonder if maybe the plate has gone missing. Not sure how anyone could have missed anything that obvious. When the OP first asked, I did a quick Google for his boat and found a couple of stern view pictures of two that were for sale. Neither had an obvious plate like the one Chuck found. Either that or you just couldn't see them. I thought the hull number had to be put on in a way that it would be obvious if it was tampered with ... RCE Here's how mine looks.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...d/Hpim0110.jpg That's pretty typical on fiberglass hulls. RCE I also have a little metal plate with my hull number/sail number rivited to the transom inside the cockpit. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...d/Hpim0109.jpg That looks like the build number for your particular boat. Had to move it from my driveway..out on street & back twice for 32 cu yd and 14 cu yd dumpsters and again today for delivery of building supplies for my new 6' x 12' shed. Street is very narrow and usually has cars on both sides. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...angerPiper.jpg |

Thanks. -- 'Til next time, John H Can't wait to show off my new custom galvanized boat trailer. The frame has been fabricated in Ottawa, the local guy will drive up to pick it up with others, come here to Halifax for hot dipped galvanizing treatment, and then transport to his shop 150 miles north east of here for assembly. Hopefully I'll have it by the end of the month. New truck, new trailer & creampuff 20 yr old boat. I should be looking good at the launch ramps! |
