cedar strip kayak - source for wood?
I want to build a cedar strip kayak, and I want
to mill my own strips. I am having trouble finding a source of (boat) cedar. Ideally, somewhere near San Jose, CA, but mail order would be definitely better than nothing. Any advice gratefully accepted. Thanks, Bill |

In california it's probably easier to find redwood. It has about the
same strenghth and weight if you like the look of it. I want to build a cedar strip kayak, and I want to mill my own strips. I am having trouble finding a source of (boat) cedar.
