Here in S. Ill the temp is in the mid 60's, and the temp doesn't bother
me, but the threat of rain (even thogh we need it) does. but still it's too WINDY! I could take my little chris craft to Omega Lake and run around in it a few times, but thats like taking a bath in the kitchen sink. I'd rather go to lake Carlyle, which is an hr. away, and is a giant lake for S. Illinois. But with even this type of breeze the waves can be white capping a bit, and it's easy to "torpedo" your boat. I've done that before and al has been ok, but I'd rather not. Yeah, between the caps, and the swells, the little boat gets tossed around quite a bit.. I'll bet the heavier sailboats are out today though. They'll slice through that stuff like butter. Oh, well. Maybe next weekend. Tim |
