I need to replace the heads on my OMC (Ford) 5.0L efi motor. I was
looking at the price for new heads from OMC and almost died. (1300 @)
Is there any reason I can't use heads from a car with the same motor and
just change the freeze out plugs?

You don't mention the model year. I have a 1988 OMC, 5.0 and its built
on a 305 Chevy engine. You may want to check this out.
It could drive a guy up a wall to try to put a Ford head on a Chevy
block......

Happy boating, Norm

I just re-read the original post and I didn't notice that it was "efi",
so this is a later engine than the 1988 version.

That's better!

Of course, it is!

Now, have you tried some E-85 in your 2-cycle yet?

it's good for the ecology, y'know....

Yes, I have, with no detrimental results. Now, please, it's not very
good for your credibility when you make an error and try to cover it up
like a cat covering ****.

since you didn't notice. I DID confess to my error.

Yh, no you haven't now what's your excuse?

Now...what's your excuse?

I don't NEED an excuse. It was YOU that wondered whether or not this
particular engine had steel valves.......

Re read my post oh, brilliant one. You will see that I didn't wonder
anything about the sttle valves of any particular engine.

Kevin, once again you are proving yourself to be KING!
