Default New DC boater?

Good. Well I guess it's good to qualify the ideas, before moving too
far.
So it's not economical to slip in the Potomac and play in the Bay? I
guess I
don't know DC that well, by water. I'm from IL.

Thanks for the info on the Washington Marina. I work in L'Enfant
and it might be a short walk from here if it's the place I'm thinking.
Someone also mentioned at work renting a slip long term and living on a
boat here (?) The utilities I guess were somewhat reasonable and other
costs, decent.(?) I'd always been curious about going that way. I
live in a small studio condo now and wouldn't mind accomodations that
are "mobile".

If I could ask one last question. Any leads on finding used boats? I
did boats.com, but didn't know if there were others.

I found mine in the Washington Post. You might also try driving to some of
the local marinas. There are some big ones down towards Woodbridge on the
Occoquan Creek. There is a small marina at Ft Belvoir where there are often
boats for sale as soldiers get reassigned.

What are you looking for?
