Default Help Selecting New Shoes for Car

My daily runner needs new shoes.

Size: 265/65/17

I'm looking at Michelin Cross Terrains at $193 a foot, versus Goodyear
Wrangler SR-A's at $179. In other words, the price is close to the same.

So, how the hell does one decide, one over the other?

I just got the BFGoodrich KOs - and they were excellent. Most people get
REVOs

But between the two, go to www.tirerack.com and there are people that
reviewed both. The reviews are really right on.

Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo-I've got'em. Fantastic traction in anything,
rain, snow, etc. Good at speed as well. Cheaper than the Michelins, by
about $50per, better tire. Get them at Costco. Mine didn't stock them,
but they will order them for you and they come in a day or two. I've had
the BFG A/T and those are very good as well (amazing sidewall stregth
which was helpful with a wife who can't park), but much noisier. The
Revos work well on a street car because they are only slightly noiser
than the stock crap but about 4 times as good. As another poster said,
everything's a tradeoff. Longer treadlife means less traction, no way
around it. I found the Revos to be the best all around SUV tire for
street with occasional snow, mud, tow ramps etc.
