Default BC Ferry sinks up near Prince Rupert

Nobody has mentioned the sinking of the Queen of the North. She struck
a rock early Wednesday morning and went down in about an hour. They
believe that everybody was
accounted for, but there is still some question about one couple. (Some
people say they saw the couple come ashore and then personally arrange
transportation to another location, but the CANGOV hadn't confirmed
that story as of late last night).

The ship was built in 1969, and had been operated in this general
region for the last 37 years.

Guess it goes to show that no matter how familiar you think you are
with an area or how big a boat you have, you can't let down your guard
for a moment underway or the sea just might snatch you to the bottom.
