headphones....but they are MP3's coming from Itunes on my computer!

I hear imperfections, minor....but I hear
them............................damn it. I never heard them before
reading this thread. My night is ruined. I can no longer enjoy my music
as I used to.

At the risk of opening another Pandora's Box, a computer isn't the best
platform in the world to listen to music from directly. All kinds of
electronic noise resides in the switching power supplies among other things.
Can't you store the music directly into your Ipod or iPOD or whatever it is
and listen to them from there? Might be cleaner.
