Any of you northwesterners know this brand?

My coffeemaker company sent me an email announcing the availability of
Tully's Coffee in "k-cups," which is what I use. Claimed it was a
leading brand in the northwest and had some interesting blends,
including a "kona," which I enjoy.

roasting plant. All the Kona (100%) I wanted, but rarely made coffee at
home.


I purchased a Lb. of Kona Coffee and it was so "mellow", it tasted like
watered down coffee. I normally like French Roast or a coffee with some
flavor to it, even when I used twice as much Kona, it still tasted like
watered down coffee, sort of the "Lite" version of coffee.

Somebody hosed you then. Kona is rich, full bodied coffee. The 2006

Hmmm. Something was wrong. Either the coffee, the directions on the
package or your following them. The "kona" I drank in Hawaii was rich,
full-bodied coffee with a great aroma.

Are you sure it was authentic kona?

Harry, check this website out, it's very informative. And, if you get a
chance, and have someone in the S.F. bay area, get ahold of some Peet's
coffees, you won't be disappointed.

thinking about ordering one of them and am considering either the B40 or
B50. Is the programmable LCD worth the extra money?

I'd only use it once or twice a day in the morning and occasionally in the
early evening, but like the idea of trying different types of coffees.
Kinda like having a coffee Ipod.

I thought it was, but I could have been wrong. I looked on the Internet
and it seems their is something called Kona Blend, I will have to order
a cup at Starbucks and see what I think

I looked up your link, and then looked at the prices. The cost of Kona
was $20-$35 a lb. I definitely didn't pay close to that price, it was
in the $12/lb range, so it must have been a blend. I know I am not
going to be buying a lb of Kona, but I will try a cup at the next coffee
shop.

We have a couple of K-50's. I had to buy my wife one so she could brew her
tea a cup at a time.

I've not paid any attention to the programmable part of the LCD. I believe
the K-50 brews two different sized cups, and that may be part of the LCD
nonsense. I do not use the "clock" part.

My coffee drinking is like yours, and the iPOD analogy is a good one.

www.JR.com has the B50 for $129.95 or so. Best price I found. I buy a lot
of stuff from J&R. But always order before Friday, because they close
early on Fridays for the Sabbath, and most orders placed on a Friday
aren't even looked at until Monday.
