Default Inexpensive Fishing Boat Recommendation

I currently own a 18ft. runabout and was looking to get a second boat
for fishing as I did not want to butcher my runabout with putting a
trolling motor on it. The primary use for the boat would be fishing but
would also like to cruise around several smaller lakes in it. The Lake
system I am on has 7 lakes all under 300 acres but one of them has an
open speed limit so things can get rough at times. There at times would
be 2 adults (400 lbs total) and 2 preteen children. I was curious if
anyone had any suggeestions for an inexpensive solution?

Thanks!

How inexpensive? How well equipped do you want? And will you consider
used?

I definately want used. I will equip myself (trolling motor,
electronics, etc). I was looking for something under 2000 (if
possible)? Thanks for the reply.

Round here that means most likely a 16 foot semi Vee Aluminum. 35 to 50
hp motor. Can most likely get a flat floor for that price. (Here means
Minnesota).

They make an excellent fishing boat and Aluminum hulls never seem to wear
out or deteriorate. The stuff inside will but not the hull.
