As reported earlier I broke off the skeg of my mercruiser unit, or most of
it. A trip to the repair shop and a Skeguard attached. $179 plus install, two holes and bolts. I have not had it in the water yet but looks to be a good product. If I'd know about Skeguard I could have installed it. I believe it was mentioned to me when I first posted but could not find it then. I can now. At least I did not need a new lower unit.
