VHF Inland

I've got an 18' bowrider that I intend to only use on the inland
waters near my home. Our area is called 'Lake Country' so I have no
shortage of available lakes to try out. My question is whether VHF
would find much use on these inland lakes?

yes, take it along. if there is a local police boat or USCG aux boat
they will be monitoring 16. even though many other boaters may not
have radios, you can still hail help with the radio...very useful
piece of equipment.
