The ship has a steel hull with aluminum superstructure and will be powered by two Rolls-Royce MT30 36MW gas turbines and two Fairbanks Morse Colt-Pielstick 16PA6B STC diesel engines driving four large, acoustically optimized Rolls-Royce waterjets. Four Isotta Fraschini Model V1708 ship service diesel generator sets provide auxiliary power. Sprint speed in Sea State 3 = 50 knots Range at sprint speed with full payload = 1,500nm Draft at full load displacement = 10ft ==================================== Impressive! |

The objective of *ANY* military unit on any attack mission *IS* to get the maximum kill while minimizing losses, including collateral losses/damage. War is not a touchy feely thing Don. Is it brutal and unforgiving. |
