I don't wear prescription glasses (yet), but I have tried some high quality (over 100 bucks) plastic sunglasses. You will think I am nuts but I ride a Harley and for some reason I have never felt comfortable viewing through plastic lenses, even the expensive ones. There is a distortion that I just don't like. I've noticed the same thing in some glass lenses as well, but not to the same degree as the plastic. A well made pair of lightweight glass sunglasses provide a non-distorted view that I am comfortable with when riding. RCE I agree. That is why I now insist on glass lenses. I have no problem paying up to $250 for a pair of quality glass lens (polarized) sunglasses. When on the water your eyes will thank you. |
