Oprah is the kind of "bring us together again" healer this country needs.

She's still fat.

Does this mean that you think if someone's overweight, that they can't
"bring us together again"?

No. Just pointing out that she's still fat.

So? She's less fat than she used to be. And if she wants lost more weight,
I'm sure she can.

Look what she brings to the table:

Unquestionably smart.
A very successful businesswoman who made it without daddy's connections or
purse strings.
Well-read.
One of the most articulate Americans on the public scene today.
A teacher who has encouraged and helped millions to read.
A person not afraid to discuss her shortcomings publicly.
A person who inspires trust and confidence.
A person who has traveled widely around the world and is welcomed
as a friend everywhere she goes.
A detail-drive, hands-on manager who doesn't have to depend on "groupies"
for advice.

I could go on.

She has a fatal flaw: she's too trusting of all things liberal, and is
therefore easily duped.

Because I said that she's a gullible person? And fat.

She is easily duped into reading a good book, that continues to
dominate the best-seller list. If that's the worst thing you can say
about her, she's pretty much perfect.

I doubt Oprah could be "duped" into believing that WMDs existed in Iraq,
or that all that could be done was being done in New Orleans, or that
eviscerating the middle class was good for America, or that holding people
in prison without charges being filed was a good thing, or that torture
was a great idea, or that encouraging US corporations to ship jobs abroad
was good for Americans...well, one could go on here for days and days.

As I have stated, she'd make a fine president, and is the type of person
we'll need in 2009 to save this country, if we still have a country.

She could be pushing 350 by then.
