When was that Bill?

I did several trips on the Rio Grande in that area in the spring and
fall of 1988. That was right around the time a husband/wife/guide were
fired on from the Mexican side. IIRC, the husband was killed and the
guide or wife wounded.

Really, somebody was killed? I had not heard that.
Do you know the spot on the river where it occurred?

After looking at the Cross/Cassady/Calhoun writeup in Western Whitewater,
I'm fairly sure we rafted Boquillas Canyon, not Mariscal.
