It also says a lot for an an EPIRB with integral GPS and registered boat ID. Hope I never have to use it but I'm glad we have one. It appears the CG found him OK so perhaps the actual audio was clearer than the recording. Ditto here. Hated spending the bucks, but it's nice to know you have it. Which reminds me. They are supposed to be serviced every so often and I haven't done that. Add it to the list for next year. Which brings up another subject. Life rafts. I installed a six person raft but because I don't charter the boat I've not had it tested or repacked. It's about three years old now I think. Add another item to the list. Eisboch |

Add another item to the list. ================================ It's definitely due after three years, usually required every year for inspected boats. We bought a new one last spring since my old one had 20+ years of hard sail boat racing on it. They offered an option for vacuum bagging in a hermetically sealed package which supposedly extends the recommended repack interval to three or four years. |
