JohnH,
You dog is very lucky to have you as an owner. Have you ever considered
giving him some plastic surgery?

I've thought about a .38 inch hole right between her eyeballs!

She's been a good dog. We got her at the local animal shelter in 1991 when she was
about a year and a half (their estimate) old.

We are all friends here. Relax but don't try to force the

BTW: What is your first name?

Why can't you tell us what your first name is and stop changing your
handle?

Is this too much to ask from you?

What's wrong with Reggie?

I guess because of the same reason alt_man does not like Kevin.

That would be because I'm not Kevin. But, alas, you can't figure out
how that could possibly be, huh?

So what is the big deal of posting what your first name is?

Why are you so concerned about what his first name is?

He posted 'Reginald' several times, and I've called him Reggie several
times. My head is still
attached to my shoulders, which means he didn't wring my neck.

I guess the game is on.

You may now release the dogs John..................

Dogs?

To seek out the real Smithers...............a metaphor...........get it?

But seriously......if you really want to change the tone of this NG you have
to stop condoning the words and actions of an anonomous "Smithers".

If not, you are as much of the problem as you blaim others as being.

Why do you all of a sudden have a problem with anonymous posting? Are
you going to demand that Fritz, NOYB, Mule, etc do the same?

Don,
In reality, it is an expression used by the Australian Aborigines. I found
the "Eskimo" reference to make it appropriate for you. See what happens, I
go out of my way to personalize it, and you slap me down. : )

OK, next time it is freezing, and you are on the verge of death. I hope you
don't have 3 dogs to save you.

Yes, many, for example the terms Eskimos and Inuit for native northern
peoples: Eskimos is from the French Eskimaux [literally "flesh
eaters"]. Eskimo(s) is the term that was in use in the late 1800s and
early 1900s when most accounts of early expeditions were written. It
was not necessarily a derogatory term--the derogatory term would
probably be "Husky." To avoid confusion, most contemporary writers have
retained the name Eskimo when writing of early expeditions since this
was the term that was in use then. Inuit [literally "the People"] now
is the preferred name for native northern peoples. However, it should
be kept in mind that Inuit is plural and refers to a group. It is
incorrect to refer to one person as "an Inuit." It's possible to be
politically correct and grammatically incorrect!
