Corrupt liberal media fails to cover the news
JimH,
Jesus was not interested in creating a new religion. His idea was to bring about a change in the Jewish faith, and he was open to allowing non Jews to be part of this change. Christianity originally was Jews who followed the teachings of Christ. When the Jews were resistant to the change, the followers of Christ pulled away from Judaism and actively sought gentiles to join their movement of following the teachings of Christ. This is from the bible. " JimH" wrote in message ... "Harry Krause" wrote in message ... JimH wrote: "Harry Krause" wrote in message Then why do you keep snipping it? I'm performing a public service. The reality is, Christmas itself is a canard, a holiday that only by convention is celebrated on the 25th of December. The date itself has nothing to do with the man now called Jesus. What you are celebrating is a holiday created from whole cloth by Constantine the Great in the fourth century. He picked the same date as an existing pagan festival. Jesus, a pious Jewish man, probably would have disdained the holiday named for him via a name that was not his. Probably not Harry. Really, and what you base that on? Your extensive knowledge of first century pious Jews? A more reliable source than you base your BS on. Merry Christmas Harry. |

Correction: Jesus really did not want to preach to Gentiles, his message
was for the chosen people, the Jews. "Lord Reginald Smithers" Ask me about my driveway leading up to my manor. wrote in message ... JimH, Jesus was not interested in creating a new religion. You really and truly are retarded. No one in this newsgroup has posted more strongly against the PRC than I have. Only because they haven't allowed labor unions! |

I remember when Harry used to degrade anyone who purchased Japanese
products. He said all products made in Japan should have a label saying "From the people who brought you Pearl Harbor". Harry is very flexible and blows which ever way the DNC tells him to blow. Where did you read this? I love it how people re-write history all the time. |

It kills people when there is no reason for it. Harry, you need to do some research into this incident. I do believe the shootings were justified. The police were shooting in self defense against people tossing fire bombs at them and attacking with machete type weapons. This is easily verified with the reports by the independent news agencies there, including your own government's agency who reported it for Radio Free Asia. Jim C. So the Kent State protesters who threw dangerous rocks, were also justified in being shot down? |

Anybody else notice how the corrupt liberal media has failed to report on the massacre going on in China right now? Of course they wont report it because this would tarnish the image of the system they love so much. I checked with a source, in Asia, and found that only two were killed and several wounded. It seems that the villagers attacked the police and some resisted arrest while others were prepared to "fire bomb" the police. Perhaps the killings were justified???? And you argued the same justification for Kent State? They were throwing rocks. Thats dangerous. I argued for the same justification for Kent State???? When did I do that??? Jim C. Several of the righties here, McKee among them, are not what may be described as "careful readers." Worse, they'll take one statement of yours (or mine, or anyone else they disagree with) and try to portmanteau it with a boxful of disparate thoughts or ideas and accuse you of something you never thought of or considered. It's the kind of crap that's played on Faux News. You seem to lack a logical mind, both of you. You say it was justified that the protestors were shot because they were throwing dangerous items. So the Kent State protestors were also throwing dangerous items. Therefore, you also approve of the Kent State shootings. |

Bill,
I don't believe the protestors deserved to be shot, but when I hear people placing the blame for the tragedy entirely on the National Guard, it makes me sick. Those guys were scared to death, and the protestors were doing their best to make sure they stayed scared. "Bill McKee" wrote in message k.net... "Jim Carter" wrote in message .. . So the Kent State protesters who threw dangerous rocks, were also justified in being shot down? The protestors did not deserve to be shot at. 4 unarmed student protestors were killed, 9 wounded. I don't care if rocks were being thrown. The blame goes to James Rhodes, governor of Ohio at the time, who sent in the National Guard and to General Canterbury who ordered the Guard members to lock and load their weapons. The rest is history and tragic. |
