Better that he cancelled the course, though. According to one of its main
proponents (sort of like supporters or promoters, for you anti-edumacation
Repubs), intelligent design has no actual content. Nothing to be studied.
Again, this is according to one of the organizations which promotes the
concept.

I'd agree.

No, you idiot, those assumptions were made by ME, not Kevin.

Nowhere in the story is that case
definitely made. For all we know they were some left wing wackos or thugs
paying back the professor for stiffing a prostitute. Him stating his
attackers referred to his course means nothing.

What conclusion would YOU come to, when the group mentioned his class
syllabus?

From the report:

"I didn't know them," Mirecki said of his assailants, ..."

The fact that Kevin once again violated copyright laws by not providing a
link to the actual report also lessens the credibility of his post.

Idiot!!! You ARE stupid!!

jps,

I try not to use profanity often because it diminishes it's effectiveness
when I do use. Profanity is supposed to shock and emphasize a point. When
it is used often, it does neither. I might go months without using
profanity, so when I use it, those who know me listen carefully.

I can't figure out what Doug achieved by using "Don't pull that **** with
me" statement. I my opinion he just wasted a perfectly good "****" when he
could have held it back when he really wanted to use a perfectly good
"****".

Careful Doug, if you don't put a smiley face at the end, someone may
misunderestimate your position not to mention your sense of humor.
Plus, that vile language really has no place in these times of war.

I thought it was applied with aplomb.

About the softest **** I've seen this year.

jps,
That is exactly my point. When you use the word "****" it should have some
real punch to it. Who wants a soft ****, no one.

Why not? What makes you think I don't agree that the intelligent design concept is not something
that deserves a 'course'?

JohnH,
It is a classic case of "The Lemmings are Coming ... The Lemmings are
Coming". Either everyone who considers themselves a conservative, must
agree that intelligent design is a viable theory, and thus all conservatives
are just blind lemmings running for the cliff OR all those who believe this
silliness and repeat the story that all conservatives are lemmings must
themselves be lemmings running for the cliff.

Since I also believe Intelligent Design is a nothing more than a fancy way
of teaching creationalism, those who like to scream "lemmings" should keep
their eyes open, it will be a great view as they plunge over the cliff.
