I most certainly wouldn't start bombing Canadian citizens and Canadian
infrastructure if Canada were invaded by a Chinese army hellbent on ousting
the Canadian government.

That's a more apt analogy to what's taking place in Iraq.

I answered your question...but perhaps the answer was a little bit too
subtle for your liking.

The folks who are doing most of the killing of US soldiers and Iraqis are
terrorists. They are foreign-born, and have come to Iraq to conduct
terrorist activities against the US, and anybody who supports the US.

I was born in the US. If I were trying to kill soldiers and blow up
military equipment from an invading country, I'd be a "freedom fighter".
However, if I were using roadside bombs to indescriminately kill American
citizens, American police and security forces, American government offices,
American hotels, and the forces of the invading army, I'd be a terrorist.
