Harry, for all we know, this war may still be going exactly according to their plans. "the invasion of Iraq, or the capture of top al Qaeda commanders, should be seen as tactical events in a series of moves and countermoves stretching well into the future." Well, duh. No kidding. Did anybody really think that this "war" was going to begin and end in Afghanistan...or Iraq? |

We all know the public has a short memory, I remember at the start of the Iraq war hearing Bush make the statement that this war on terror is going to be a long hard battle and we must have the courage to stand the course. We all know that the Democrats (slightly more often than Republicans) are short sighted. It seems the Democrat party elites count on the public having a maximum memory of 2 years. |

You, of course, remember the Axis of Evil speech: Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. And I'm sure you remember the following line: "Our fight against terrorism began in Afghanistan, but it will not end there." It's not going to end in Iraq either. |
