A number of years ago I chatted with you on rec.boats about adding a small
oil tank under the engine cover and running a line down to a fitting in the gearcase. This could be drilled and tapped into the shift rod cover. Could you tell me more about this. Is the idea to keep the gearcase open to atmospheric pressure. Am I right to assume oil leaks out as pressure and temp. increase and then upon cooling pressure decreases drawing in water. I am having water entrance problems and I have done pressure and vacuum tests as per the service manual and everything seems good. I am going to replace the seals but would like some more insurance. |

Habbi,
May I suggest Bill Granis (sp?) as a far more autoritative source? Butch "habbi" wrote in message ...
