Project boat - Is this boat worth it?
Sorry for the triple posts!
Googlegroups said it was accepting the posts, but they just now showed up, and thats why I posted three times...LOL! This is the time of year when you buy boats cheap! people are getting rid of them and getting them out of their yards etc. $1600.00 on that boat would be a "Spring/summer" price. Tim |
Project boat - Is this boat worth it?
I ended up finding a boat, 1986 McKee Craft Waccamaw, DC, 115 HP
Yamaha. THe seller has documentation showing a $2100 rebuild job on the motor. Hull looks good. Took it out for a trial ride and all seemed to be in order. Boat is equipped out nice with a trolling motor, fish finder, VHF radio, brand new bimini top, boat cover, rod holders, lighting. Settled on a final price of $4000 with a $4900 ask. I feel comfortable in this decision and even if a little high, think this is a good boat. Time will tell. Looking forward to getting out on the water. I don't know anything about fishing but am eager to start. What freshwater fishing is popular in South Carolina in the winter? |

I read on another newsgroup where several posters said there was some sort of Google-usenet-internet problem that impacted posting the last few days. I figured that was going on Harry. glitch's do happen I wrote Google about it (they encourage that) never got a reply, but it's up and going now. |
