According to conservatives, innocent babies shouldn't be murdered but
it's okay to take another's life after birth.

Further, it's okay if you die for a cause because others before you have
died for the same cause, even if the cause has no validity. As long as
they're not unborn.

Lots of conservatives maintain these self-righteous sets of absolutes --
that's what makes me puke.

Just like Bob Woodward asking Pincus to keep his name out of everything
because he doesn't want to be called to testify before the grand jury in the
Libby case.

Letting an innocent man rot, in jail or under a false inidictment, is the
same in our system of justice.

No one has the right to take someone else's life against their will,
unless it's in self-defense.

If the public safety can be preserved by keep a cocksucker locked up,
that's what should happen.

We shouldn't find out, after the fact, that someone was put to death on
false pretenses.

Statement still stands. Texas has been pointed in the wrong direction
for a long time. I don't agree with any leader who sanctions a man's
death and stands by while it happens.

You conservative fruitcakes are the ones who claim the right to save the

deserve it.

Conservatives align themselves far more regularly with the death penalty

The lemmings like to believe all Republicans and Conservatives believe in
and support the death penalty.

In reality, 48% of those who consider themselves conservative or moderate
oppose the death penalty ( 21% C, 27% M). These are the people who voted

In reality 54% of those who consider themselves liberal support the death

Herring, as usual, read my comment incorrectly.

It is really an effort to write in such a simple fashion that this
newsgroup's righties understand. When I post a comment that I hope they
will understand, I tone my writing down to the lowest level I can, but
even that level still seems to confuse Herring, Fritz, Smithers, Robbins,

sick, but moderates and liberals who support the death penalty do not?

Anyone who supports the death penalty isn't humane in my book.

Protestants and "conservatives" support the death penalty at a rate of
80%. Catholics at a slightly lower rate. The more you attend church
the more likely you are to favor the death penalty?

Adherents to Christianity and supposed followers of Jesus?

That makes me want to puke.

jps,
What makes you think I was talking about you? I really didn't know I
was,
but since you bought it up, why don't we.

That facts speak for themselves. There are many conservatives, 21% and
many
moderates, 27%, who don't support the death penalty, yet 54% of the
liberals do support the death penalty.

Since those that support the death penalty are found in conservative,
moderates, liberals, Republicans, Independents and Democrats, why do you
make a political distinction.

Is it possible only conservatives who support the death penalty make you
sick, but moderates and liberals who support the death penalty do not?

So you believe that people that support abortion are inhumane too?

There are consequences to your actions. Some people just can't be redeemed.
But, there is a differenece betweent he church and the state. The state
punishes your for transgressions and the church will give you absolution
but, you will have to pay for your actions.

Adherents to Christianity and supposed followers of Jesus?

Their is no christianity without Jesus. The two are inseperable.

That makes me want to puke.

Enjoy the taste.

I love people who walk the walk.

Having no right to take another's life is among the ten commandments.

And yet 80% of "christians" in America believe in the death penalty?

Need I say more?

Difference between a keel and a centerboard Bert. Your answer makes me
think of a centerboard you shove in the water when you need to apply it.

I'm talking about a keel Bert. It's in the water always.

If my brain required as little draft as a centerboard then I'd probably
be more satisfied with life and perhaps be a Republican, like you.

Happy Thanksgiving Bert.

Lots more Republicans attend church than Democrats.

Seems like a math teacher who doesn't take this into account is being
disingenuous.

Surprise? Nope.
